S. America dominates 2010 World Cup

For the first time in World Cup history, four South American teams appear in the quarterfinals of the tournament. This unprecedented dominance by the teams from the CONMEBOL confederation was evident from the group stages. Incidentally, all five South American teams in the competition progressed to the second round.
